God in Us: Diversity of Operations and Differences in Administration.
For all have not every gift given unto them: for there are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God. To some is given one, and to some is given another, that all may be profited thereby. God “suits his mercies according to the conditions of the children of men”. D&C 46:11-16 Through His perfect omniscience, God is able to see each of His children as the center of The Narrative and has gifted each one a package that is very personally suited for the Journey.
This “being known” by God fills me with infinite joy and hope. The One who knows me surely and sees me clearly has gifted the tools for my successful travel. I can also be grateful for the tools that are not mine, but have been placed in the hands of others in order that I may profit thereby. There is beautiful variety in God’s work . . . a diversity of operations.
